Seller guide
Which eBay Store subscription tier is cheapest at my listing volume?
Compare seller-supplied Store tier fees, listing allowances, overages, and optional final-value-fee assumptions without changing a subscription.
Copy a complete, dated tier table
For every tier you want to compare, supply a unique label, monthly subscription fee, zero-insertion-fee fixed-price and auction allowances, and the matching per-listing overage fees. Record the source date and billing cadence outside the calculation. Do not combine an annual-plan subscription price with a monthly-plan allowance or an older overage fee. The model should use the seller's supplied terms only; a partial or mixed table creates a precise answer to the wrong rate card.
Separate fixed-price and auction listing volume
Enter the expected monthly count for each format and name the current tier from the supplied options. For each tier, subtract its matching allowance from each volume, floor the overage count at zero, and multiply by that format's overage fee. Keep the fixed-price and auction components visible. A combined listing total can be misleading when the tier has different allowances or fees for the two formats.
Add final-value-fee effects only on a comparable basis
If you want to model tier-specific final-value-fee percentages, provide one estimated monthly sales amount and a rate for every tier being compared. Calculate that component consistently and label the sales amount as an assumption, not a forecast. If a tier lacks a rate, either omit final-value fees from every tier or mark that option not directly comparable. Category brackets, per-order charges, seller-performance surcharges, and international fees still need their own inputs or separate analysis.
Rank monthly cost and inspect the crossover
Total subscription, fixed-price overage, auction overage, and any consistently modeled final-value-fee component. Show signed savings versus the current tier. To find a fixed-price break-even, hold auction volume and the sales assumption constant and solve the piecewise cost curves around each allowance boundary. The first volume where a candidate costs no more than the current tier is a mathematical crossover, not the volume the shop will actually reach.
Check omitted benefits and live terms before deciding
Review listing upgrades, category and vehicle exceptions, per-order fees, promoted listing costs, international exposure, proration, billing-plan commitment, storefront features, support needs, and the current eBay terms. A lower modeled monthly total does not recommend or change an eBay Store subscription, predict sales, or establish that a tier is operationally best. Friday reads no account, starts no upgrade or downgrade, publishes no listing, and changes no seller setting; the output is a planning worksheet.
