How do I find Amazon ad search terms spending without orders?

Turn a seller-supplied Sponsored Products search-term export into a review queue for no-order spend, strong non-exact terms, and high-ACoS rows without automatically changing a campaign.

Compare one complete reporting window

Export the Sponsored Products search-term report for a date range long enough to cover your normal consideration and attribution cycle. Keep campaign, ad group, targeting, match type, impressions, clicks, spend, attributed orders, and attributed sales together. Do not combine rows from different currencies, attribution windows, or partially refreshed reports; a zero in an incomplete window is not evidence of wasted spend.

Define a no-order review threshold before sorting

A single click without an attributed order is usually too little evidence for an exclusion. Choose both a minimum click count and a minimum spend based on the product's economics, then flag only rows that cross both thresholds with zero supplied attributed orders. Call the total observed no-order spend, not avoidable waste: assisted, branded, seasonal, or delayed value may be absent from the export.

Separate exact exclusions from phrase-level patterns

Review an individual query as a negative-exact candidate first because that is narrower than blocking a repeated word everywhere. A phrase candidate deserves a second pass across every source row, advertised product, and campaign objective. Protect brand, product, and strategically important terms explicitly so a repeated token is never treated as an automatic campaign instruction.

Harvest winners and review high ACoS separately

A non-exact search term with repeat attributed orders at or below your supplied ACoS target may be worth reviewing as its own exact target. A term with orders but ACoS above target belongs in a different queue: inspect price, conversion, bid, placement, and relevance before deciding what changed. Apply any negative, target, bid, or budget edit manually in the advertising console, then compare a later like-for-like window.

Every paid output is a draft for your review before you publish, appeal, or activate anything. Friday does not access your seller account.
