How do I map Amazon listing fields to Walmart and eBay?

A review-first way to carry verified product facts across marketplaces without mistaking similar labels for identical category requirements.

Separate the product fact from the marketplace label

Start with a neutral fact table: brand, manufacturer part number, GTIN, title, description, material, color, size, model, package quantity, and country of origin. Keep the verified value separate from labels such as 'Item Name', 'Product Name', or 'Title'. That makes the value reusable without pretending each channel stores it the same way.

Map common fields before category-specific attributes

Brand, color, material, and model often have a clear semantic neighbor. Titles, descriptions, identifiers, condition, and package quantity need manual review because limits, accepted formats, and meaning can differ. Mark uncertain rows for review instead of forcing a plausible-looking match.

Do not invent a target for an unknown field

A field such as battery composition, compatibility, or a category-specific measurement may have no useful common target. Preserve the source name and value in an unmapped queue, then check the current target category template. Leaving a blank review task is safer than silently putting a fact in the wrong field.

Resolve collisions before building an upload file

Exports sometimes contain both 'Brand' and 'Brand Name', or both 'MPN' and 'Part Number', with different values. Normalize aliases, surface the collision, and have a human choose the verified value. Only after that review should you apply current allowed values and prepare a target upload draft.

Tools that help with this

Every paid output is a draft for your review before you publish, appeal, or activate anything. Friday does not access your seller account.
